If you are interested in undertaking an Apprenticeship with one of the top performing training providers in the county, there are a few things you need to know.
In order to become an Apprentice you must:
- be aged 16 or above
- be in paid employment
- have a contract of employment for a minimum of 16 hours a week
- have been living legally in the UK or wider European Union for at least 3 years
- not have a degree if you wish to study at L2 or L3
Apprenticeship training is funded by the Government through a training grant which meets the full cost of training if you are 16-18 years of age, and half the cost if you are aged 19+. Your employer is expected to make a contribution towards the cost of your training.
CareSkills operates on a business to business basis. This means that we only recruit new learners onto our training programmes through a Social Care employer and we are unable to recruit individuals directly, unlike for example a college.
That does not mean we cannot help you achieve your career ambitions. Whether you are in work but need training, or want to work in the Social Care sector but need some advice, please contact us and we will do our best to help you.
